voice_mute
Tell other participants that you are muted. This only changes the mute flag the server shows. Your client must also stop sending audio.
Request
Section titled “Request”{ "cmd": "voice_mute"}No fields besides cmd. It applies to the voice channel this connection is in.
Response
Section titled “Response”{ "cmd": "voice_mute", "channel": "hangout", "muted": true}The voice_user_updated event
Section titled “The voice_user_updated event”The server sends this to every connection whose user can view the channel, including your own:
{ "cmd": "voice_user_updated", "channel": "hangout", "user": { "id": "usr_8f2k1", "username": "carol", "muted": true, "peer_id": "3f9c2a71-5d0e-4b8f-9a61-7c2e4d1b8e05" }}It has the same shape as voice_user_joined. peer_id goes only to users in the channel, and severed users don’t get the event. It arrives before the voice_mute response.
Muting when you are already muted still sends the event.
